This is the second in a Camels Hump series. At 4,083 feet, Camel’s Hump is Vermont's third-highest mountain and its highest undeveloped peak. Part of the Green Mountain Range, Camel’s Hump is one of New England’s 4,000-footers. Because of its distinctive profile, Camel’s Hump is perhaps the state's most recognized mountain, featured on the state quarter. With its neighbor to the north, Mount Mansfield, it borders the notch that the Winooski River has carved through the ridge line of the Green Mountains over eons. The hiking trails on Camel's Hump were among the first cut in the Long Trail system. On a clear day, the views from the summit are panoramic.
