      We are adding to our team in our Waterbury location and Winooski locations.

      1) Sales Associate training for Management.  

      We are looking to add to our team in our Winooski location. The ideal candidate will start as a sales associate and transition into a management role.

      Position Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to play an essential part in the our growing company. The ideal Store Manager is someone who can prioritize, tackle projects methodically, inspire our team with a can-do attitude and always provide excellent, friendly and warm customer service to our tight-knit community of loyal shoppers.

      This position is for 30-40 hours in our Winooski location.

      Proven history of retail management experience is required.

      Responsibilities for management include but are not limited to:
      -Oversee the daily operations of the store
      -Lead team of sales staff and training new employees
      -Develop relationships with our artists, community partners and customers
      -Managing store's appearance
      -Ensuring customers have a great experience in our shop from start to finish.
      -Create new ways to engage with our customers including but not limited to planning and hosting events, outreach and collaborations.
      -Maintain/exceed sales goals
      -Maintain excellent communication between store locations and with owner and sales staff.
      -Learning about our makers and sharing your excitement of handmade with our team and customers.

      -Previous experience in retail management or experience in managing a team of 5+ people
      -Critical thinking/problem solving skills
      -Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand for long periods of time
      -Warm personality to welcome customers
      -Proficiency in Excel/google sheets, social media including but not limited to instagram, facebook, and sending out newsletters.
      -Weekend availability is essential.
      -Availability to work the week before and after holidays
      -Experience in merchandising and loss prevention a huge plus.

      2)Part time position - 20-30 hours Waterbury location. Weekend availability is essential. See description for job 3) and send all required documents to apply. 

      3) Part time position - Winooski 15-30 hours (avg 20 per week). Weekend availability is essential. 

      Retail experience is a plus but we will train the right candidate. This is a great job for someone who loves art, handmade, and the maker movement. Bonus points if you're familiar with our shop! We are a handmade gift & clothing shop that carries the work of over 200 artists from Vermont and around the country. We are looking for someone who loves the handmade movement and sharing it with the community as much as we do!

      The ideal candidate must:

      -Have the ability to multi task and be self motivated as you will be working the shop alone for half and full days (after training of course!)
      -Be available some weekdays and at least one weekend day, preferably both. Saturday is a must.
      -Have a strong work ethic
      -Be able to lift 40 pounds
      -Timely, pays attention to detail, tech savvy
      -Friendly customer service skills
      -Most importantly must be kind & honest.

      This is a year-round position. The ideal candidate will be available during our busiest time of year (fall foliage and from Black Friday/Small Business Saturday through Christmas Eve).
